Add and organize Document pages
Upload images, import sessions, continue with a new capture, and reorder or duplicate pages.
Updated November 2, 2026
A Document page is one screenshot with its own title, description, framing and annotations. Pages come from image files, saved capture sessions or a capture started from inside the Document.
An empty Document shows Add your first page with three buttons: New capture, Upload images and From history. Image files can also be dropped onto that area. Once the Document has pages, the add menu in the Pages panel offers the same sources:
| Menu item | Source |
|---|---|
| Upload images… | Image files chosen in Finder |
| Add from Capture History… | Frames from saved sessions |
| Capture new images… | A new Auto Capture, Website Capture or Action Capture run |
Upload images
Choose one or more image files in the Finder dialog. Temposhot copies each file into the Document. Later edits change the copy, and the original file stays as it was.
Add from Capture History
Open the picker
Choose Add from Capture History… in the add menu, or From history in an empty Document.
Select sessions
Tick one or more sessions. A ticked session includes all of its frames.
Adjust single frames
Expand a session to include or exclude individual frames.
Add the pages
Select Add selected Frames.
New pages follow the order in which sessions and frames were selected. A session that is still capturing does not appear in the picker, and neither do sessions without frames.
Capture new Pages
Open Capture new images… and choose Auto Capture, Website Capture or Action Capture. Run the capture as usual. When it finishes, Temposhot adds the frames to the Document and returns to the editor.
New pages from a capture can be inserted after the page that is currently selected.
Organize Pages
Drag a page thumbnail in the Pages panel to move it. The list scrolls by itself when a dragged page reaches the top or bottom edge.
Right-click a page for its menu:
| Command | Result |
|---|---|
| Duplicate page | Adds a copy of the page to the Document |
| Move up | Moves the page one position earlier |
| Move down | Moves the page one position later |
| Adjust framing | Opens the framing editor for the page |
| Show full image | Removes framing; shown only on framed pages |
| Delete page | Removes the page from the Document |
Each thumbnail caption shows the number of annotations on the page and adds "Framed" when framing is active.
