Create screenshot guides in one editable workspace

Bring in new captures or images you already have, put the pages in order, add what each step needs, and export the finished Document.

Start with the screenshots you have or capture a new sequence

A Document can start from three places. Capturing and editing stay separate, so use whatever material you already have.

Images on your Mac

Import screenshots, put them in order, and each one becomes an editable page.

Capture History

Make a Document from an earlier session. The source captures are not changed or deleted.

A new capture

Start Auto Capture, Website Capture or Action Capture and continue in the editor when it ends.

Documents library
The Documents library keeps finished guides and drafts together.

Give every page one clear job

Make the next action obvious

Order the pages the way the task runs. Give each one a direct title, and use the description only for what the screenshot cannot show.

Mark the target with an arrow, a shape, a line or a short label. When the screen has more than the reader needs, Framing and Action Focus cut it down.

  1. 1. Collect the pages
  2. 2. Put them in order and title them
  3. 3. Point the reader at the target
  4. 4. Export and check the files

Documents FAQ

What is a Document in Temposhot?

An editable sequence of screenshot pages. Every page can have a title, a description, framing and annotations before you export the Document.

Can I build a guide from screenshots I already have?

Yes. Create a Document from Images, pick the files on your Mac, then reorder and edit the pages.

If I delete a Document, is the original capture session deleted too?

No. A Document is separate from the Capture History session it came from. Deleting one leaves the other in place.

Which tools are in the free version?

Page organization, titles and descriptions, Text, Rectangle, Ellipse, Line, Arrow, Framing, Action Focus, undo and redo. Pro adds Blur, Click Marker and Step Numbers.

Which export formats are available?

PDF, PNG, JPG, WebP and ZIP, on Free and Pro.
