Focus on action, crop, and framing
Focus a Page on the captured action, choose framing levels, or define a manual crop.
Updated November 2, 2026
Framing sets which part of the screenshot a page shows. The source image is never overwritten, so the full image can be restored at any time.
Focus on a captured action
Action Capture records the point of each accepted click. On a page that has this point, Temposhot can zoom the page around it automatically.
Turn on Framing
Select the page and switch on Framing in the Page Inspector. The switch is described as "Focus on the action area".
Pick a level
Use the minus and plus buttons (Wider framing and Tighter framing) to move between the five levels.
Fine-tune if needed
Select Adjust framing… to preview the crop and change it in the framing editor.
| Level | Number | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Wide | 1 | Most surrounding context |
| Relaxed | 2 | Some context around the action |
| Balanced | 3 | Even mix of context and detail |
| Close | 4 | Action area with little context |
| Tight | 5 | Exact action area only |
In the framing editor, Mode switches between Focus on action and Custom. Focus level changes the level for Focus on action. Select Apply framing to save the result, or Cancel to leave the page as it was.
Adjust framing manually
Use a manual crop for pages without an action point, or when the automatic frame cuts off something important.
Open the framing editor
Press F, choose Adjust framing… from Image actions, or right-click the page thumbnail and choose Adjust framing.
Switch to Custom
Under Mode, select Custom.
Set the region
Drag the frame or its corner handles until the important context is inside. Frame size shows the width and height.
Save the crop
Select Apply framing.
Choose Show full image to remove the crop and show the whole screenshot again. On a page with an Action Capture point, Reset to action rebuilds the automatic framing around that point.
Framed pages show "Framed" in their thumbnail caption in the Pages panel.
Protect sensitive information
Framing is the quickest way to leave out unrelated windows, tabs and notifications. Crop each page to the part the reader needs.
When private details must stay inside the visible area, cover them with Blur (B, Pro). Set Blur strength in the Object Inspector until the text cannot be read.
The free browser tool Image Redaction Tool can also cover regions of a single image.
